What Are You Looking At?

You have probably heard the saying, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. That is, we all make decisions on what is beautiful based on our own perspective. Our own determination of what is desirable and good. We naturally place our value and label of desirable and undesirable on all that we see.

Sadly, we also do this to ourselves and then take our thoughts in transfer them to what others may also think about us. We are our own worst critics. The world has taught us what our bodies should look and be like. Then we compare what we see in the mirror and to the world's standards.

The problem with this is that the world is selling you a distorted image of real people and only wants to play on your insecurities to sell you something. The world is more concerned for its financial health than your complete health. We must stop looking to others, and even ourselves, to determine a good self-image. We must remember that our Creator God is the only One that knows how we should look, physically and spiritually.

We found a great video to share with you called Discovering the Keys to Healthy Body Image and Self Worth. This panel discusses their experiences with body image and how they make decisions each day to remember that our value is determined by God. It's time to stop the selfies and to focus on Him.

Do you compare yourself to others? Would you like to join a community of people that gather together in a “NO JUDGEMENT ZONE”? If so, become a SanctiFit Member.
