The Speed of Liquid Calories

One of the instructions you received from us with your TRIP is that you NEVER DRINK YOUR CALORIES. Consuming calories through beverages is one of the leading reasons most people pack on the pounds and struggle with losing them no matter how they are eating. Regular sodas, fruit juices and alcohol can quickly add hundreds of calories each day to your body.

We have not found any studies that show liquid calories are converted to energy any differently than solid food calories. However, they are much easier to consume and do not typically satisfy your appetite. In just one meal, sugary drinks like regular sodas, sweet tea and fruit juices could be adding over 300 calories!

Drinking your calories will impact your weight loss. So what about diet drinks? In moderation, diet drinks will help you balance your palate while not adding calories. Overconsumption of artificial sweeteners has been shown to be harmful. So, when you are deciding on which beverage to consume, make your judgment using the scale.

Is your health worth more than what you are drinking? Yes!

There are many options available for your taste. Be sure to never drink your calories and to drink in more water each day than any other beverage.
