Protein Power!!!

Protein is an essential nutrient made up of little building blocks called amino acids. They make protein vital to building and repairing muscle, bone, hair, and nails. But that is not all.

Protein gives you energy and plays a key role in maintaining your immune system, making enzymes and hormones, and transporting nutrients throughout your body. Protein also helps your body repair and recover from illness and it even supports healthy aging and weight management. But, unlike carbohydrates and fats, protein is not stored in your body. You must consume it every day to stay healthy.

Great sources of protein come in whole eggs, almonds, peanuts, lean beef, chicken breast, turkey breast, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, all types of fish and protein drinks. In addition, broccoli, Brussel sprouts and Ezekiel bread are both rich in protein and fiber that provide sources for strength and cleansing the body.

Each day be sure to fuel up on high protein foods, fiber and limit your carbs while staying at your caloric limit so that your body will burn your fat cells and you will lose weight.
