The first several days of your TRIP we have focused on calories. How much to eat on a daily basis to maintain your health and lose weight. Today, we will give you some reasons why drinking more water may help you to lose weight:

  • Water may suppress your appetite

    • when you get your first sign of hunger, your body may just need hydration so start with a cup of water before snacking

  • Drinking cold water may boost metabolism

    • studies show that your body needs to warm up to stabilize body temperature causing an overall metabolic increase

  • Drinking water helps during exercise

    • it dissolves electrolytes and delivers them across your body & hydrates your muscles

  • Water helps to remove waste

    • the more hydrated you are the more efficiently your body expels waste and reduces bloating

  • Your hydration level impacts fat burning

    • lipolysis is the process by which your body burns fat for energy, dehydration may slow it down

  • Water improves your thought process

    • dehydration can cause stress levels to go up, fatigue and confusion

Our bodies are made of mostly of water. It stands to reason that the more often we supply it with clean pure water, the better it will work. Drink at least 8 cups of water per day and improve your health.
