Living on His Provisions

As I have studied the Bible over the years I have learned so many great truths of life. God created all people in His image and has placed His moral standards in us. God loves us and desires to have a good relationship with us. God gives us free will so that we may choose to love Him back in return. God is the Provider of all that that we need.

We need ... we need Him to create or nothing exists. We need His love. We need to accept and trust in Jesus as Savior in order to have eternal life. We need to understand that He provides all to us and then live on His provisions in this life in order to be blessed and live in peace.

One of the life principles I have learned this year while studying Genesis is that God provides for all of our needs before we need them. It is our use of the resources He gives us that determines our state of mind, health, relationships, finances, physical resources and lifestyle. In Genesis, God had given Adam and Eve all that they would need to have a perfect life together and with Him. It is when they were tempted and chose to disobey God's command that they fell out of relationship with Him and the perfect life that He had provided.

Today, God knows your needs and He has provided for them so that you can choose how to use them. Go to God in prayer and ask Him to reveal His provisions and for guidance in how to use them for HIs glory and your good.

GOD IS OUR PROVIDER

God provides for each creature He has made. God provides for our basic needs of food, water and shelter. God provides strength and moral goodness to all and gives us free will to determine how we will use it. God provides us an escape path when confronted with temptation and protects us from evil. God provides His Son as our greatest gift and we are allowed to choose to accept Him or reject Him. God is never changing and we are blessed when we recognize His provisions and use them as He intends them to be used.

Matthew 6:8-15 NIV

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Genesis 22:14 NIV

So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided."
