Greatest Day Ever
When I was a teenager on a hot day in East Texas, I understood that I personally had made decisions that were sinful and that I needed a Savior. This was not a sudden revelation. In fact, it had been months of stewing on this thought and resisting the next step of faith in Jesus.
Through months of studying the Bible and really taking a hard look at myself, I knew the only way to be saved from the wrath of God was by accepting Jesus as my Savior. I did not know everything I know today about Him. That said, that day I was truly born again spiritually and continue to be transformed by Him to be holy as He is holy.
GOD IS OUR SAVIOR
God is holy and He cannot be associated with anyone that is not holy. Know that Father God has sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to rescue all that have sinned and have earned the penalty of death, Hell and separation from Him for eternity.
We are sinful people that have no power to save ourselves because we are already in an unholy state. God planned and fulfilled a way to save His chosen children from their sin and the wrath of God that would be against them.
Jesus was born into a physical human body to be completely human while also being completely God. He did this to live the perfect life we cannot live and die in our place for our sin. He saved us by becoming the perfect sacrifice required to atone for our personal sins.
All people that have chosen to trust in Jesus as their Savior, are and will be completely saved from the penalty of sin. God has no punishment for His children. Jesus saves us from sin’s power. Jesus gives us new desires and a new ability to fight sin through the power of the Holy Spirit.
One day soon, Jesus will return in His glorious body to rescue us from the sin we face in the world today. He will rule over the earth and He will be with His people forever!
